With the increase of purchasing activities in the market, cotton yarn trade sentiment in northern North India has slightly improved. On the other hand, spinning mills reduce sales to maintain yarn prices. The price of cotton yarn in the Delhi market has increased by $3-5 per kilogram. At the same time, the cotton yarn price in Ludhiana market is stable. Trade sources have revealed that the recent surge in cotton prices has led to an increase in demand for yarn exports from China, which has had a positive impact on the market.
The price of cotton yarn in the Delhi market has increased by $3-5 per kilogram, with the price of combed yarn increasing and the price of coarse combed yarn remaining stable. A trader in the Delhi market said, “The market has noticed an increase in buying, which supports yarn prices. The sharp rise in Chinese cotton prices has driven demand for yarn in the domestic textile industry
The transaction price of 30 pieces of combed yarn is 265-270 rupees per kilogram (plus goods and services tax), 40 pieces of combed yarn is 290-295 rupees per kilogram, 30 pieces of combed yarn are 237-242 rupees per kilogram, and 40 pieces of combed yarn are 267-270 rupees per kilogram.
With the improvement of market sentiment, the cotton yarn price in Ludhiana market has stabilized. The textile mills did not sell yarn at lower prices, indicating their intention to maintain price levels. A major textile factory in Punjab has indeed maintained stable cotton yarn prices.
A trader in the Ludhiana market said: “The spinning mills restrain sales in order to maintain prices. They are unwilling to attract buyers with lower prices.” According to the observed price, 30 combed yarns sell at 262-272 rupees per kilogram (including goods and service tax). The transaction price for 20 and 25 combed yarns is 252-257 rupees and 257-262 rupees per kilogram. The price of 30 pieces of coarse combed yarn is 242-252 rupees per kilogram.
In the Panipat recycled yarn market, the price of cotton yarn combed has increased by 5 to 6 rupees, reaching 130 to 132 rupees per kilogram. In the past few days, the price of combing has increased from a low of 120 rupees per kilogram to 10-12 rupees. The reasons for the price increase can be attributed to limited supply and rising cotton prices. Despite these changes, the price of recycled yarn remains stable without significant fluctuations. The demand for downstream industries in Indian home textile centers has also remained generally sluggish.
In Panipat, the transaction price for 10 recycled PC yarns (gray) is 80-85 rupees per kilogram (excluding goods and services tax), 10 recycled PC yarns (black) are 50-55 rupees per kilogram, 20 recycled PC yarns (gray) are 95-100 rupees per kilogram, and 30 recycled PC yarns (gray) are 140-145 rupees per kilogram. Last week, the price of combing decreased by 10 rupees per kilogram, and today the price is 130-132 rupees per kilogram. The price of recycled polyester fiber is 68-70 rupees per kilogram.
With the global market rising, cotton prices in North India are also on the rise. The price increases by 25-50 rupees per 35.2 kilograms. Traders pointed out that although cotton shipments are quite limited, there has been a slight increase in buying from textile mills in the market. Strong demand from downstream industries drives positive market sentiment. The estimated arrival quantity of cotton is 2800-2900 bags (170 kilograms per bag). The price of Punjab cotton is 5875-5975 rupees per 35.2kg, Haryana 35.2kg 5775-5875 rupees, Upper Rajasthan 35.2kg 6125-6225 rupees, Lower Rajasthan 356kg 55600-57600 rupees.
