In August 2022/23, India exported 116000 tons of cotton yarn, an increase of 11.43% month on month and a year-on-year increase of 256.86%. This is the fourth consecutive month of maintaining a positive month on month trend in export volume, and the export volume is the largest monthly export volume since January 2022.
The main export countries and proportion of Indian cotton yarn in August 2023/24 are as follows: 43900 tons were exported to China, an increase of 4548.89% year-on-year (only 0900 tons in the same period last year), accounting for 37.88%; Exporting 30200 tons to Bangladesh, an increase of 129.14% year-on-year (13200 tons in the same period last year), accounting for 26.04%.
