In July 2022/23, India exported 104100 tons of cotton yarn (under HS: 5205), an increase of 11.8% month on month and 194.03% year on year.

In the year 2022/23 (August July), India exported 766700 tons of cotton yarn, a year-on-year decrease of 29%. The main exporting countries and the proportion of export volume are as follows: 2216000 tons were exported to Bangladesh, a year-on-year decrease of 51.9%, accounting for 28.91%; Export to China reached 161700 tons, an increase of 12.27% year-on-year, accounting for 21.09%.
