In March, the total retail sales in the United States decreased by 1% month on month to $691.67 billion. As the financial environment tightened and inflation continued, US consumption quickly retreated after a strong start to the year. In the same month, the retail sales of clothing (including footwear) in the United States reached $25.89 billion, a decrease of 1.7% month on month and 1.8% year on year. It has shown negative growth for two consecutive months.
